The asymmetrical form of SR-1 and the contrast of materials- between a smooth wool surface and mixed silk-and-wool fiber, create a tension between control and the organic accumulation of matter. The rug’s form invites direct tactile engagement, while individual fiber sections subtly permeate the smooth areas, emphasizing the object’s process-based and sculptural character.

Each piece is a unique, hand-crafted object, produced in a limited edition of 8 pieces and 2 Artist’s Proofs (AP).
