The sconce is composed of interpenetrating spheres surrounding a radiant center. This lamp was born from the designer’s reflections following his journey to Mexico, his longest overseas trip and his first encounter with distant places that had previously existed only in his imagination. The experience evoked a sense of the world’s smallness and the ease with which distant parts of it could be reached, rekindling the childhood joy of exploration. The lamp seeks to capture that fleeting emotion through its abstract form. It evokes the act of peeling back layers to uncover hidden content, embodying the thrill of discovering a mystery.
